Jacks Little Stars Appeal has been set up in memory of a brave and courageous little boy Jack Joseph Starowojtow.
Jack was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of childhood cancer on the 29th June 2004, and devastatingly lost his battle with the disease at 4.55am on Monday the 10th April 2006 at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital aged just 5 years and 8 months. In just 22 months, Jack had already fought the disease twice, but the third time there was no more fighting that could be done.
Jacks memory will continue as will all the other children that have too, lost their battle, and their strength and courage will shine down on making this charity a success to help others.
They were all shining stars on earth, now they are all shining stars in heaven.
Our aims are to help give back what we ourselves received, and to help as much as we can to ease some of the pressure, as we have been on each level with the disease and therefore know what the situation each family with a child with cancer is facing.
Cancer is the biggest cause of death in children aged 1-16 years of age and can strike any family at any time.
